ChezWhat?: What do you do with a pregnant teacher?
Hi,
I chose to stay home and raise my son too, it was very important to me to be the one raising him and not a caregiver. It created such a great bond between us and it is such a special time because they change and grow everyday! and I was there to feed to him, rock him to sleep and was the one he wakes up to and read to him and played with him through out the day. Studies show that a child is mentally and emotionally farther ahead than those who are raised by child care and my child is now entering 5th grade and in the gifted program, he loves to read and enjoys learning!
What to do when you are home with the children I can answer!!!!
Work from Home!!! I started a business called PayMyMom.com and it as given me an additional income that far reaches any other online business that I could find and I biz tested a lot of them. I am able to take care of my son and work at the biz during school, a friend works while her baby sleeps, she loves it too!
Good Luck and enjoy the Baby!

Donna Summers Concert with PayMyMom.com
Last night I attend the Donna Summers Concert at the Hollywood Bowl... and she was Fabulous!!!! She sang most of her oldies "Last Dance", "She Works Hard for the Money", "Bad Girl" and "On the Radio" and we danced to them all from the very last row at the Hollywood Bowl. Her concert sold out so fast that we were lucky to get the seats we got!
The shuttle bus that I took up was running late and concert started while I was walking in, I decided I needed to see her up close before taking my trek to the top, so I went my secret back route and found a break in the bushes that had the perfect view! There were a few others there watching and dancing too! After the third song, I decided I had to join my party of friends and I took the hike my seat. I squished in between all of the people there, but who cares... it's Donna Summers! and we were up dancing for most of it anyway!!! What A Show!!!!
She also sang song from her new album and they are Fabulous!!!!

Sing-a-long to the 80's with PayMyMom.com
This weekend my friend Janet called me up to invite me to Sing-a-long to the 80's at the Music Center. What an amazing time we had singing to Madonna, Berlin, Pat Benatar, etc.
and it was FREE to attend! I have found that there are Fun, Interesting and Cultural things to do all around this beautiful city of ours and all for free. The Music center, museums and even the Hollywood bowl and more all offer free events for their patrons that are fun to join that stimulate your creativity and imagination. For Instance this weekend the Music center is offering
Salsa and Chacha night, where they will teach you these dances and then you can stay and dance the rest of the evening. At the Hollywood Bowl you can attend the rehersals for the show that will be seen that night, One morning I got to see Tony Bennett and Diane Kraul and the best part is you are sitting really close to the stage, so you can even see the strings on the violins!
I have found all of these events available through the local newspapers and websites so
Check out what is available in your area and have FUN!!!

Stay-cation with PayMyMom.com
What is a Stay-cation you ask?
Well, a Stay-cation is having a vacation while you stay at home enjoying the things in your own backyard and for us living in Los Angeles it s a great place to Stay-cation. You don't have to pack or pay for hotels. I even count camping at the local beach, which was such a blast!
Today my son wants to go rollerskating and tomorrow we will be beaching it at Zuma Beach!
Later in the week we will hit Universal Studio's! and the best part is that we can do this all with our friends in tow!
In between all of the activities I am even able to do my Internet Marketing work! and advertise PayMyMom.com to the world. and when they need food for a scene on a show I am able to be there to style the food!
Gotta Go have Fun now!

Recycling with PayMyMom.com!!!
Yesterday, my son Jared and I took all of our empty plastic bottles to the recycling center, what amazed me is the amount of plastic water bottles people are recycling instead of reusing, if we just reused 5 bottles 5 times it would cut down on having to purchase a case of individual waters for the month, what a thought!!!
The center had been closed most of the afternoon because it was over stuffed with all they had collected that morning It took over 1/2 hour to clear all of this away so the center could re-open. We got lucky and had showed up just when the truck had arrived so while we waited, we chatted with the other patrons and what a wonderful mix of people there are... all there to help clean up the environment.

My name is Nancy Goodman Iland and I am a proud single mom of a beautiful 10-year-old boy named Jared and a desert tortoise named Mr. T. We live in Los Angeles, California, where I have lived my whole life, that’s right a true native… there are very few of us living here, as L. A. is known to be a melting pot of immigrants from all over the world. We live right in the heart of the city between downtown and the beach in a 1930’s Art Deco duplex on a quite street, a style that I truly love- I must have lived in this era in a past life, because I honestly truly love the Art Deco style, so much so that when I got married I had a 1930’s theme for my wedding.
By trade I am a free-lance Food Stylist for TV and Film~ This is my Dream Job!!!
What is a Food Stylist you ask? Well, when you see the actors eating food on a show, say like a breakfast scene and there is a family is sitting around the table eating eggs and bacon… I make the food you see them eating.
I have also produced several short movies and commercial concepts and this past year I also filmed a pilot for a television show starring ME! It is in editing as we speak and when it is ready I will take it around the to the TV studios and sell it to the highest bidder! So eventually you will see me hosting my own show!!!
I know it all sounds so Glamorous, I get to be on the sets of our favorite TV shows and movies and I get to work up close and personal with the Stars, which is totally cool!
My job definitely has its ups and downs, the ups are it gives me time to be with my son. For the summer I get him every other week, so for my week with him we are doing stay-cations, where we stay home and act like tourists in our own backyard! Taking day trips, camping at the beach and spending time with friends and family! We are having a Blast!
The down side of free-lance is that I only work when there is food on a show, which right now has been about once every two weeks, and we have another strike threat at the moment from the Screen Actors Guild. It is a really good thing that I am a Jackie-of-all-trades and am spontaneous in nature.
I realized that I needed an additional income stream. I still want to food style and be home to take care of Jared so I thought a home based business would be the best. I tested out a lot of MLM and networking companies and found that the compensation plans are not very good for the amount of work you have to do, like prospect every person you meet and have meetings at your home, by the time I finished my day I was working 8 – 10 hour a day. Too Much!
I then got a call from one of my best friends who told me about this new company, he was so impressed with it because not only is the compensation plan so amazing, I do not have to prospect, I do not have to sell, I do not have to tell or have home meetings in the evenings, they do 90% of the work for you, all I have to do is market the biz and drive traffic to my website. After checking it all out and researching this company, I signed up immediately! And I love it!!!
They give me unlimited training, we mastermind together and people in this biz share with each other and pay it forward. I also love that even though I am working at home I don’t feel like I am an island and working by myself. I have made many new friends who I have fun talking to!
